Why won't Subaru build another 2 door AWD manual coupe/hatchback?
Please, Subaru?!

I've always loved the RSs. All generations. I just want a bit more power out of them, that's all.

see also: why won't Subaru participate in WRC again!?
one will likely precipitate the other... although the GD and later were WRC and had no two doors... but still

good day indeed, but she looks like she needs a polish before she fits in with the other cars at CCC
this yours, or is it a CCC car?

Not a fleet car. My co worker bought it for ice racing.

Sucks. We're getting dumped on here on the east coast.

Because the WRC has rules and those rules have made it dull.

Wait, shit, east coast + subie = rust. . . . . My bad thinking every where is like CA where you have to live by the beach to see any rust. . .

Rally racing abuse is fine, but the whole rubbin is racing ethos of ice doesn't sit too well with me. . . But then I have a huge love affair with the 2.5 RS. . . I'd rather see a sedan get thrashed on the ice rather than the coupe. . . I guess I'm just crazy. . . . Carry on and forget what I wrote. . .

I often find myself thinking such things when I see beautiful cars go drifting. I will never be able to afford to get my car looking that good, and they jsut go out and thrash it. It's just jealousy really. I have to slap myself and remind myself it's better for a car to be used than just look pretty

Because stupid FIA rules. IIRC the engine has to be 1.6L, and may even have to be transversely mounted which doesn't work with a flat 4. Also something, something wheelbase. I think there is no minimum wheelbase so all Subaru platforms have too long of a wheelbase to be competitive. Or there is a maximum wheelbase and all Subaru's are too long to meet that. Plus monies that Subaru doesn't want to spend.

Cosworth all the things . Problem solved. Assuming that you're willing to put $20k+ worth of engine into a $2500 car.

I wish someone made a kit to put big fogs into the 07 STI's. There is even a plug right there to install fog lights. Huge fog lights just finish off a Subaru. I'm assuming because rally lights.

Is that N/A? That's what appeals to me about the RS. It's just the Boxer.

Just the Cosworth long block. Up to you if you want to turbo it or not. Though I would imagine most would. Probably not worth it to build an NA engine off something that is designed for ~600 hp and costs $17k before you put accessories on it.

Did Subie ever make a Manual Transmission that would mount up to the H6?

I believe the six speeds from the STi mount up with some minor modifications. I've seen swapped Imprezas running the flat six with a manual. Why they never offered it stock with one is beyond me.
